ES-SCLC is an aggressive type of lung cancer that has spread to both lungs or to other parts of the body. It is the most common type of SCLC. Almost 70% of people with SCLC have the extensive-stage form when they are diagnosed.
IMFINZI is an immunotherapy treatment for adults with previously untreated extensive-stage small cell lung cancer (ES-SCLC) that is given in combination with chemotherapy.

IMFINZI is given as an intravenous (IV) infusion at your doctor’s office, the hospital, or an infusion center. While your infusion times may vary, it usually takes about 60 minutes to get an IMFINZI infusion.

These problems can sometimes become severe or life-threatening and can lead to death. You can have more than one of these problems at the same time. These problems may happen anytime during treatment or even after your treatment has ended.
IMFINZI is a prescription medicine used to treat adults with a type of lung cancer called small cell lung cancer (SCLC). IMFINZI may be used with the chemotherapy medicines etoposide and carboplatin or cisplatin as your first treatment when your SCLC has spread within your lungs or to other parts of the body (extensive-stage small cell lung cancer, or ES-SCLC).
It is not known if IMFINZI is safe and effective in children.
Getting medical treatment right away may help keep these problems from becoming more serious. Your healthcare provider will check you for these problems during your treatment with IMFINZI. Your healthcare provider may treat you with corticosteroid or hormone replacement medicines. Your healthcare provider may also need to delay or completely stop treatment with IMFINZI if you have severe side effects.
